Biomimicry can be applied on a very wide range of scales: materials, products, services, buildings, neighbourhoods, towns and territories. Big Bang Project, the Cité du design and Ceebios have joined forces to co-produce the exhibition "Du sensoriel au biomimétisme: un autre regard sur un avenir plus sensible et durable" (From the senses to biomimicry: another look at a more sensitive and sustainable future), in order to present the breadth of this approach and its ecological aim to the various audiences (scientific, industrial and general public) at the International Design Biennial.
The exhibition takes visitors on a journey to the heart of a range of projects representing the full diversity of approaches and practices involved in implementing biomimicry. The tour takes visitors on an exploratory stroll through the different scales that make up our daily lives, from the physical to the territorial. It can be seen from 06 April to 31 July 2022 at the Matériauthèque of the Cité du design in Saint-Etienne.
